Sustainable Infrastructure Assessments, US Air Force, Multiple Locations

Under a contract with the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment, Cardno TEC conducted sustainable infrastructure assessments for 467 buildings comprising 10.2 million square feet at six U.S. Air Force bases in California and Arizona. A sustainable infrastructure assessment determines sustainment, restoration, and modernization requirements. Cardno TEC implemented the web-based BUILDER 3.0 Sustainment Management System at the six bases. Cardno TEC assessors conducted building component inventory and condition assessments to evaluate the performance of each system/building and reviewed the recurring work program to insure major mechanical assets were accounted for and receiving preventative maintenance. Project deliverables included a short-range maintenance action plan, population of the BUILDER Sustainment Management System database, and a long-range maintenance action plan based on output from the BUILDER database.
